Tickets are priced individually:

0-3 years old (Baby/Toddler Tickets) – Free (Although they may not be able to participate in all activities)

The event is held inside Hedingham Castle, Halstead CO9 3DJ.

Parking is all FREE. There is a short walk from your car to the castle.

No, children must have a fully paying parent or guardian supervising them at all times. You can get involved with the children or watch from the within the room during each activity.

As we require parents / guardians to be with their children at all times they also have to purchase a ticket. The castle charges standard admission for adults when they are open and in a similar way to attending a theme park with children you still have to buy a ticket. (You may also learn a spell or two!)

Tea, coffee and light snacks will be available to purchase on the second floor.

The Castle cannot accommodate buggies or pushchairs so you will be asked to leave these in our buggy park at your own risk.

Unfortunately there is no disabled access, as the castle is a historic monument. There are no lifts or stair lifts inside the castle.

Standard charges apply to visitors with accessible/special needs, carers are eligible for a reduced-price ticket. Please contact the office at info@redcastleevents.co.uk to request the code, please provide proof of carer status. This has been put in place due to abuse of the code.

Only 1 carer ticket can be added per booking. Proof of carer status / disability will be required to be eligible for the code, this can be a statement of special educational needs from LEA or NHS, a letter from a medical professional on NHS headed paper, a DLA or PIP letter from the Department of Work & Pensions, Attendance Allowance, Incapacity Benefit or National DID Card. We do not accept carer cards. If you arent able to provide this we are not able to offer a discount code.

Once you have your code please add your adult ticket to the basket, along with any child tickets you require. Only one carer ticket can be added per booking. Please be aware there is NO disability access ie lifts inside the castle, and the stairways are extremely narrow as it is an original unchanged historic building.

Personalised letters are posted out in batches each week, if it has been over 2 weeks since you have ordered please get in touch.

Due to the amount of people moving tickets, there is now a £10 admin fee to move tickets.
